One of the smallest baby born at 25weeks survives in Jupiter hospital after 100 days of battle

The condition of the baby boy born at 25 weeks of pregnancy weighing 550gms was extremely critical because of the extreme prematurity and low birth weight. The 46-year-old mother had given birth to twins through IVF in a private hospital in the city. While unfortunately, one baby did not survive, the second baby was put onto life support for severe breathing difficulty due to the condition called ‘Respiratory distress syndrome’. The baby was immediately transferred to Jupiter Hospital in an incubator. The baby was kept on life support for the first 11 days and subsequently shifted to different respiratory support called CPAP for 1 month. Special catheters were introduced through the baby’s umbilical cord to give nutrition and monitor baby’s blood pressure. Feeding started with mother’s milk through a 0.5 ml tube and then gradually increased to the desired amount over a period of first eight days. Pune October 2018:  The 'Run to Give 2018’ Marathon organised by the Chennai-based NGO Rising Star Outrage was graced by  Vinay Aranha, trustee of The Aranha’s Rosary Education Group and Shri Shrimant Malojiraje Chhatrapati, trustee of AISSMS College of HMCT  . They flagged off the marathon of over 1200 participants in Pune. The marathon was flagged off from AISSMS College of HMCT, Pune.  
 The Marathon received encouraging response from adults and children. Among the participants are about 170 Rosary students who voluntarily took part in the marathon. The marathon was organised to create awareness about the charity and to encourage all age groups to stay active. The students of Rosary school were informed of the marathon and its significance.  “Parents of our school have been very supporting by having their children and themselves in some cases participate in the Marathon. I am very proud of them all and so glad that we all could help the cause”, said  Vinay Aranha of
